Mrs. Sara Frieberg

Biography

Sara Frieberg received her BA in Judaic Studies from Stern College for Women and her MA in Bible from the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Yeshiva University. She served as the Co-Director of the OU Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus (JLIC) with her husband, Rabbi Adam Frieberg at Rutgers University for 3 years. They then served as the Assistant Rabbi and Rebbetzin at the Young Israel of Hollywood-Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for five years. In Hollywood, Sara also served as the Coordinator of Women’s Engagement at Young Israel. In this capacity, she created innovative programming and taught shiurim throughout the community. Sara created the Eishet Chayil Initiative, an eight-month program providing communal events for women which blend Torah perspectives with matters of time management, financial health, mental health, physical health and wellness, leadership and spirituality.  This program was selected by the OU Women’s Initiative as a recipient of the Challenge Grant in 2018.  Subsequently, Sara served as a coordinator for the Women’s Initiative Create and Connect Program in which she guided women in communities across the US to create similar programming in their communities. Sara and her family fulfilled their dream of Aliyah this past summer, and are living in the amazing Sheinfeld community in Beit Shemesh.
