17th of Tammuz
The fast of 17 Tammuz marks the beginning of the Three Weeks, a time of reflection and mourning for the destruction of the Beit HaMikdash and the many tragedies that have befallen our people. On this day, the walls of Jerusalem were breached—symbolizing the breakdown of protection, unity, and sanctity. Lech Knos invites women to gather on this day not only to recall the past, but to rebuild the present—fortifying our communities with Torah, connection, and purpose.
