Singer-songwriter More about this speakerx Sorah Shaffren
Mrs. Sorah Shaffren is a Judaic Studies teacher at Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey, and spends her summers as the Program Director at Camp Dina. She is also the Director of Meorot, an all girls production of dance and song in Bergen County that benefits NCSY summer programs. Mrs. Shaffren brings her talent for singing and playing guitar to women’s programs throughout the Jewish Community. She is featured as a song writer on the most recent album of her brother Mordechai Shapiro. She brings her passion for Torah learning and Jewish music to every one of her endeavors, inspiring girls and women everywhere. Find her on Instagram: @sorahshaffren
Psychologist More about this speakerx Dr. Michelle SarnaDr. Michelle Sarna is a licensed psychologist, in private practice and serves as a psychologist at SAR Academy and Camp Stone. Among other positions, she has served as the Associate Director for Training and Professional Development of the OU’s Jewish Learning Initiative on College Campuses (JLIC), and the JLIC educator at NYU. Michelle co-founded and co-directs the Orthodox Leadership Project, for which she received the Jewish Week’s 36 Under 36 Week award. She lectures and writes on topics related to psychology, spirituality, development, and family life. She lives in downtown Manhattan with her husband and 6 children. Michelle’s husband, Rabbi Yehuda Sarna, is the Chief Rabbi of the United Arab Emirates.

She has a B.S in Management, and an M.ed in Jewish Education from the Hebrew University She is a licensed tour guide through the Ministry of Tourism. Rivi lives in Jerusalem and teaches in Midreshet Emunah v’Omanut and Matan, as well as guiding various educational groups throughout Israel.

Abraham High School for Girls and several Jerusalem seminaries including Michlalah College, Midreshet Tehilla and Neve Yerushalayim. At the OU Women’s Initiative, Rivka has taught part of Sefer Yeshayahu to over 5,000 women worldwide as part of Torat Imecha Nach Yomi and has served as a Counting Toward Sinai Scholar-in-Residence. Rivka currently lives in Atlanta with her husband and children.
